Tonbridge Arts Festival has been running since 2010 and features an open art exhibition. This evening was the opening at the Hawthorn building, K-College and it turns out that I’m the only participant with work that doesn’t hang on the wall.
There was a good selection of work by local artists and a special junior category in which there was some equally excellent work. It felt as though my stuff was in auspicious company. I’d chosen the new work based on local coastal erosion patterns so fortunately it didn’t look too out of place.
On Saturday there will be an arts and crafts sale and demonstration event at the Angel Centre. It’s open from 10:00 to 15:00 and I’ll be there with my wheel, attempting to throw a few pots and maybe letting people who are willing to get messy have a go.
